Animal Research Scenario and Reflection
Animals, just like human beings, have rights. They feel pain just like human beings feel;
therefore, testing animals for research causes pain and suffering. Although animal experiments are
done to test the safety of the products being tested and help develop a new medicine, the
experiments should be humane. It is wrong to go ahead with animal experiments when other
research alternatives exist (Akpan et al., 2020). However, there exist theories that state that animal
experiments are used for the benefit of human beings, these benefits are not proven. If such benefits
exist, the benefits should be produced in ways other than animal testing. Certain attitudes like that
of the AMA should be changed since they advocate for the use of animals for medical advances.
The last response, D, is more ethical. The response states that animals feel pain and have
