Communities that experience a disaster event usually experience delays in obtaining federal disaster assistance. However with a coordinated agency such as FEMA communities that suffer emergency events in the United States might be able to secure assistance within a few days of the emergency. Emergency managers in conjunction with the Joint Field Office (JFO) coordinate the access distribution and maintenance of federal disaster assistance programs. Securing aid may stem from federal sources alone or public and private partnerships may also contribute to funds for victims suffering from an emergency event.
