Budgetallocation to five NGOs after the Joplin Tornado

Discussion: Budgetallocation to five NGOs after the Joplin Tornado
The selectedfive organizationsinclude ResCare: Residential Services, who should
receive the requested $60,000. Children centre comes second, and they should split $50,000
equally with the third organization due to the similarity of their purpose. The third NGO is The
Alliance of SWMO. The big Brothers-Big Sisters come fourth. The remainder, $ 35,000 is in a
$5,000 excess of what Joplin South Little League requested, yet I strongly believe that due to the
essence of their task.
Criteria of selection and amounts
The organization thatneedsthe funding most isone thatsolvesthe currentissue, which is
the disaster. What does a tornado do? Itcauses homelessness. A not-for-profit organization that
tasks consideration providing shelter receives the most, which is the ResCare: Residential
Services, who should receive the requested $60,000. Secondly, the secondary consequences in a
homelesscommunity should be considered, andsuch include child abuse. Therefore, a totalsum
of$50,000 should go to the two organizations concerned with that. The AllianceofSWMO and
the Children centre takes this positions, each of them receiving $25,000. The last consideration is
organizations that assist the community grow and recover from the trauma, and I will select

Joplin South Little League to eradicate poverty and heal the wounds of the hazard, assisting the
people move forward. They should get an excess of $5,000 over what they requested ($30,000)
to receive a total of $35,000.
Requirements for selection and why the organization meets my criteria
The organizations’ history was considered, and the information was drawn from their
websites. The capacity and willingness to assist in times of hazards was considered. I also took
into account the scenario on the ground and how the organization relates to it. The organizations
meet my criteria since they all have a history of working with organizations such as Red Cross,
WHO, and other organizations that offer assistance in times of hazards. Their purposes are also
focused in lifting communities from traumatic experiences and helping it to move on (Family and
