1. Case study: Authority and Leadership
The promotion of Julie marks a significant improvement in her work. Julie has been
operating within the organization for eight years. The duration must have given her the
opportunity of properly understand the works in the entire institution. Her experience in
the work makes her performance in the institution significant. Julie has gone through the
various instances realized in the institution. As a result, the execution of activities from
within the institution is a simple task for her.
As a manager, it is the role of Julie to ensure that all workers available perform as
expected. Being well aware of the institution’s errands, her management will take the
institution to greater heights. Her benefits as a manager will also increase. However, Julie
is likely to experience challenges in coordinating the works within the organization.
Having been working within the same field with many of the workers as a staff nurse, the
co-workers may find it difficult to take her as their manager but no longer as her co
worker. The process of issuing commands to the staff nurses may appear unusual at first.
