Motivation Paper: This is a 1500-1700 word (5-7 pages 300 words per page) essay. The final product should demonstrate a thoughtful and well-researched response. You should have at least 3 additional resources other than the textbook. The resources should be scholarly not popular, for this assignment I will accept trade resources. All sources must be cited. APA style is prefered. Choose from the following topics

1) Compare and contrast Maslow’s theory and the hierarchy of needs with Alderfer’s EGR theory. How are they similar and what are the key differences.

2) Using the Goal setting theory of Locke and Latham create a program to drive your behavior to improve your performance in a specific areas. Be certain to describe the theory, how goals serve to motivate and how your goals meet the criteria of the theory.

3) Pick on theory of work motivation and apply it to your schoolwork. From the chosen theoretical perspective, develop a plan to increase your productivity as a student. For instance, perhaps procrastination is a problem in your schoolwork (perhaps even on this paper). What processes could you apply to become timelier? Support your statements from the viewpoint of the theory you have selected.
