Overview

Compare Mitt Romney’s economic ideas with those of President Obama. Examine President Obama’s economic policies, including and especially via that of the Fed but also including support of green energy, and how those policies might have contributed to economic statism, crony capitalism, and speculative financing. Evaluate the above in light of a biblical model of statesmanship.Remember also that writing a research paper, especially at the doctoral level, requires you to weave in ideas from numerous sources and then in turn synthesizing those ideas to create fresh insights and knowledge.Answers to questions must be supported with research and citations. It is not unusual, for instance, to have 3–4 citations per paragraph in doctoral-level research.

Overview:

This module examines the economic ideas of both Romney during his campaign and the Obama Administrations’ specific economic policies.  The themes of crony capitalism, statist interventionism, and risky debt financing and speculative finance will again be examined in light of a Biblical model of statesmanship.
