Concept Mapping
The concept map is used as a learning and teaching technique which visually illustrates the
relationships between concepts and ideas. Often represented in circles or boxes, concepts are
linked by words and phrases that explain the connection between the ideas, helping students
organize andstructure their thoughts to further understandinformation anddiscover new
relationships. Most concept maps representa hierarchicalstructure, with the overall, broad
concept first with connected sub-topics, more specific concepts, following.
In case of shock, a patient experiences perfusion which results in decreased blood flow to all
areas of the body.
