Introduction
In the health care setting, there is a high need for data exchange between the
customers and the physicians to improve the quality of care. The existing traditional and
technological solutions have inadequacies that require integration and improvements to
enhance data exchange. These advancements include the dire need for the provision of real-
time and cost-effective services to all the stakeholders. This paper seeks to analyze the
current challenges in the interoperability of consumer data access in health care. The research
will provide solutions to existing problems in the health care setting. Recommendation and
conclusion reveal the importance of electronic health records in dealing with rags in
consumer data access interoperability.
Elements of the problem
With the rising digital revolution in the health care setting, organizations are
continually experiencing challenges with data management. For instance, there is insecurity,
loss of records, and duplicate records, which detereriates care delivery. Despite the

information technology techniques that do not harm patients. Challenges arise when the
medical provider seeks to enforce the standards in the care setting. Interoperability comprises
