Choose one of the poetry albums from the textbook for your exploration. After careful study of the poems included in the album, choose two poems from the album that you believe are the most effective and write an essay in which you explain your choice. This is an argumentative literary analysis.
Demonstrate your understanding of the poetic devices employed by the poet in each poem and explain how these devices create meaning in the poem. Consider how the form, the sounds, and the structure of the poem reinforce its meaning. Make sure to identify the speaker and note (explain) any shifts in the speaker’s voice throughout the poem.
