SENIOR CITIZEN INTERVIEW You are to interview an individual who is 65 years old or older and ask the following questions. Type your information and be prepared to turn in on the DATE specified in the syllabus. You will only have this one opportunity to receive credit. The interviewee can refuse to answer any questions for whatever reason. You may conduct the interview all at once or break up the interview into segments. Follow the following format: 1.Name: First name or nicknames OK. Time, Date and Place of the interview must be included in your report. 2.When & where were you born? 3.Describe your parents or the people who raised you. 4.What was your father’s occupation? Mother’s occupation? 5.Describe your siblings. 6.What memories do you have of your grandparents? 7.What illnesses, if any, did you have as a young child? 8.What chores did you have to do at home when you were a young child? 9.Where did you live? Do you recall your address? 10.Describe your neighborhood. 11.What major historical events do you remember from your childhood? 12.Who were your heroes when you were a child? 13.What unique physical characteristics run in your family? 14.Who in your family could always make your laugh? 15.What memorable traditions did your family participate in? (holidays, July 4th, etc). 16.Did your family take trips away from home: If so, where? 17.Did anyone in your family serve in the military or hold public office? 18.Did you have pets growing up? What kind and their names? 19.What was your favorite time of year? Why 20.Describe a typical day in your elementary school. 21.What was your favorite subject in school? 22.What sport or game were you especially good at? 23.Did you have an after-school job? What was it? 24.What extra-curricular activities were you involved in? 25.Did you go to college or trade school or do military service? Describe. 26.If married, what has motherhood or fatherhood taught you? 27.What advice would you like to personally pass on to the next generation?
