TASK

 

 

The purpose of this assessment is for you to develop a critical understanding of the role of HRM in contemporary organisations within the context of current professional and academic literature. The process of making notes on and evaluating resources before you use them for an assessment is very important as it helps you to get a better idea of what resources you will use and how you will use them. This annotated bibliography is to demonstrate that you have commenced appropriate research for your Assessment task 2 – Presentation. An annotated bibliography is both descriptive and analytical. It aims to do two things: • summarise a number of related sources • evaluate the quality and relevance of the sources for a specific purpose. It also demonstrates that you have the basic skills and knowledge of searching and evaluating sources for academic work.

 

You need to select four (4) relevant journal articles, that must be within the last five years, so articles must be dated from 2013 or later.

 

  1. Read the journal articles thoroughly, identify the main argument/s being presented, and write a concise and accurate summary of each article. The skills required to complete these tasks are vitally important for academic study and professional development.

 

 

 

This needs to be done- Summary

  1. After summarizing each article, construct a summary that presents the major issues raised in the four articles included in your annotated bibliography. This summary must present an argument or position in relation to the HRM topic. If the articles you have chosen do not assist you to develop this argument, it is recommended to discard them.

 

  1. c) Overall summary and conclusions (ideally approx. 250 words): This final section should state the central argument you are making and use the reference material to substantiate your position. It should present your understanding of the HRM topic, identify key variables, and suggest potential solutions or interventions drawn from the literature you have discussed. You should even-handedly, but critically, evaluate the evidence presented in each article and integrate it into a representative summary.
