Evaluation of the book by Harper Lee To Kill a Mockingbird

Question Description

Can someone help me finish this please it is a evaluation I picked the book by Harper Lee To Kill a Mockingbird here is what I have so far

To Kill A Mockingbird-Evaluation

Back in High School I remember reading the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. (I have a copy of this book) . “She was white, and she tempted a negro. She did something that in our society is unspeakable ; She kissed a black man”  (Harper Lee, chapter 18).  In the story the quotation shows how prejudiced and racist the town of Maycomb was. Back then, and even in today’s world humanity cannot accept the fact a white woman can love a black man. A major theme is illustrated within the novel, that in reality the existence of social inequality does exist.

To Kill a Mockingbird – Harper Lee

Harper Lee’s Credentials To Kill a Mockingbird The only novel she ever wrote was To Kill a Mockingbird.  Harper Lee was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in fiction in 1961. This was based to a large degree on her childhood experiences growing up in Monroeville, Alabama. Atticus Finch, was a small-town lawyer. There was an  old house in the neighborhood were she lived that was rumored a reclusive owner was much like Boo Radley. The author stated the character of Dill is based on author Truman Capote, a childhood companion.

Was it the subject, or did the author perhaps present ideas new to you?

It was the subject that inspired me. Because this book examines racism, not through the eyes of a adult, but threw the eyes of two children. Jem and Scout Finch in Alabama during the era of the great depression.

What were your criteria, or standards, for evaluation?

What did you expect to achieve with your evaluation?

What interested you about your topic or made you think it was significant?

Was your judgment a mixture of positive and negative, or did it learn toward one extreme.

Writing is a process of self-discipline you must learn before you can call yourself a writer. There are people who write, but I think they’re quite different from people who must write.
