HIP HOP CULTURE AND AFRICAN AMERICANS

HIP HOP CULTURE AND AFRICAN AMERICANS
Short description:
Urbanism is a process that requires people to leave their places and shift to urban
places. There has been a great trend due to which it has been seen that the culture got diverse
and experienced. There are different topics of research that cover urbanism and my mother.
The topic seems interesting to me because the African Americans have introduced it and
touched on racial issues in the USA (Washington, 2018). Urbanism gave rise to hip-hop
culture in the 1970s, and the blacks started it. It has been seen that the blacks had to face
extreme difficulty in the 1970s because the white families started leaving cities, and most of
them moved to suburbs, and it was the biggest tension for permitting us to go or not. The
blacks had to face economic difficulties in the neighbourhood, and the budgets were highly
disturbed. So, the blacks introduced hip hop culture, where it emerged as a form of culture
with dance and art (Walker, 2018).
Research question:
How the hip hop culture promoted urbanism, and what benefits it gave to American
blacks?
It is the major question that I want to explore through the research that hip hop culture
is the product of urbanism, and blacks are invoked in it. The theme covered by the research is
racial identity and the issues of urbanism. Hip hop culture has discussed the blacks in detail,
and it tells about how the blacks benefited by choosing Hip Hop culture in the past. All these
will be researched in the project in detail.
