PEER POST #1

Amazon

Amazon is an amazing multinational company! The main reason why I love Amazon is because Amazon keeps up with the times! Let’s face it, the world is a constant changing environment. Amazon is a multinational company that focuses on many different things from e-commerce, cloud computing and even artificial intelligence. Amazon was founded on July 5th of 1994 which makes it 24 years old. Even though Amazon is 24 years old this company doesn’t just want to be part of the market but seems to want to become the market itself. How do the changing technology and the falling barriers to trade and investment reflect the success of this company? Even though the many changes to technology and the falling barriers to trade and investment Amazon stays on top of things.

How does the company show corporate social responsibility in terms of labor conditions, human rights, fair trade, and the environment? “Amazon is strongly committed to conducting its business in a lawful and ethical manner, including engaging with suppliers that are committed to the same principles.” (Supply Chain Standards). With these standards set in mind the expectations for suppliers on their goods and services are set to very high expectations.
