Kenya is a nation located in East Africa, having a coastline on the Indian Ocean. The
country is traditionally unique because of the diverse ethnic groups. Culturally, it has various
tribal groups, each having different music, languages, dress, and food (Mwenda Ntarangwi &
Simeon Hongo Ominde, 2019). Among the most known tribes are Maasai warriors and the
Swahili people. The two communities in the country have fascinating cultures that make me
enthusiastic about visiting Kenya.
The Maasai is a community in Kenya speaking maa language. This community has
always been special. “Their bright red robes set them apart visually. Spear in hand; they are calm
and courageous regardless of the danger” (The Maasai, 2016). They also live in houses called
Inkajijik, loaf-shaped or circular houses made by women. On the other hand, the Swahili people
also have an exciting culture. These people are located in Kenya’s coastal region and are known
