Description

Case study: You’re providing health classes in nutrition/lifestyle in a low-income multicultural community clinic for a group of people who are at risk for cardiovascular disease and some with cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure who has been hospitalized frequently to treat CHF symptoms. You learn that members in the community eagerly participate in nutrition classes are immigrant with low literary level, ages 55-76, many are plagued with obesity, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension, alcohol and tobacco use; and many are depressed about their income level and their health status.
