This week’s assignment has two parts. Answer both. No outside source. Just read the short reading and use examples and evidence you find in the reading to answer 2 questions below. You can write as much as you want (minimum 300 words)

Part one: List at least three important groups (occupational, political, or any other) that Marx mentions and provide a short description of them.

Sample answer: Proletariat: Wage-earning industrial labor class.

Part Two: Do you think that Marx believes that the fall of the bourgeoisie and the victory of the proletariat are inevitable? Provide evidence for your answer.

Sample (bad) answer: Marx believes these are inevitable because he writes that “its fall and the victory of the proletariat are equally inevitable.” (Marx, 21).

In other words, try to go deeper. Think about the reasons that make this revolution likely and the obstacles to revolution. Then, determine which side you think has better evidence.
