Overview:  Students can download and/or listen to the podcast episode surrounding  health inequities unveiled by the COVID-19 pandemic and answer the  following reflective questions regarding the topic covered by  participating in this collaborative discussion with peers. This episode  reflects the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ National  Health Observances such as reflective of current events such as  COVID-19.

After completion of the podcast episode, answer the following questions:

1.  Discuss the cultural implications (or beliefs) discussed in the episode  to their own life and/or nursing practice related to COVID-19. How does  this relate to the public health nurse and serving  individuals/clients/groups/aggregates in the community.

2. Discern ways to apply the health  promotion techniques related to mitigation and management of COVID-19  discussed in the episode to the broader community context.

3. Address 2 health inequities you see as a  practicing nurse in our healthcare system and how can we as public  health nurses join the fight to end health disparities.

4. Identify resources in their own community for improved health and wellness related to COVID-19.
