Research Design and Methodology
The three types of research designs available are:exploratory, descriptive, and
experimental. Exploratory research design is meant to get new insights and determine what is
going on (Rahi, 2017). Questions are asked, and the researcher tries to get explanations of
phenomena in a new light. It is common in the early stages of research because the concepts are
not clear to offer an operational definition. Qualitative research methods usually follow this
research design. Descriptive research design is used to get information about already existing
phenomena (Rahi, 2017). An accurate data profile of the events, situations, and people involved
is obtained from the research. It is reinforced by explanatory research design because
explanatory research helps explain why the phenomena are in that state. Experimental research
involves altering the variables by creating artificial situations to enable the researcher to collect
data and study that data precisely. Situations are made simply to test the variables. These
