Rights of Women to Abortion in Cases of Rape or Incest

pregnant as an outcome of incest or rape can best be protected through abortion. It is also common

knowledge that a case of incest or rape that results to pregnancy is a grave injustice hence the

women should not be obligated to carry the embryo to term. The pregnancy term of nine months

is painfulreminderofthe rapeincidentcommittedagainstherandwouldprobably increase or

worsen her mental torment. In addition, the value ofthe mental health of the woman is far greater

than the value of the embryo who happens to be an invader against the personal life and integrity
