Stakeholder analysis
The stakeholders of Big Brother Big sister include the board of directors, the honorary board, the
regional advisory board, volunteers, participants, sponsors, and donors. The board of directors is
responsible for hiring the CEO and determining the vision, direction, and mission of the program.
This board also establishes the program governing system which has been divided into regions.
These regions include Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery.
The CEO of the board of directors oversees the daily activities of the program and protects
donations. They also audit or employ an external audit team. The honorary board on the other hand
performs similar duties but only in their areas of expertise. The board of directors, the honorary
board, and the regional directors are likely to meet the program evaluation positively because they
are responsible for audits and they may sometimes hire an external auditor to establish the
likelihood of success of the program. Another group of stakeholders includes volunteers, sponsors,
donors, and the participants. Volunteers commit their time and knowledge into the program to
educate and mentor children in the program’s scope. They are selected from colleges, the
community, corporates, from the program’s alumni, or online. Sponsors and donors help the
program financially and their privacy is protected by the organization. Lastly, participants are the
children and youths involved in the mentorship. Volunteers, donors, and sponsors are most likely
to meet the evaluation enthusiastically because it will shed light on the fate of their contributions.
The participants on the other hand would be more interested in the stories of those who were
needed in the program activities before them.
