Statistical Significance and Meaningfulness

Statistical Significance and Meaningfulness
According to the scenario, “given this research was exploratory in nature, traditional
levels of significance to reject the null hypotheses were relaxed to the .10 level,” investigation
involves implementation of exploratory research to define a problem that exists without results
or conclusion being provided. This statement solely addresses the type of research utilized and
how it is being conducted thus far. The traditional significance level is referred to when the null
hypothesis has been expressed, and the p-value is equal to or less than the significance
considered. The level of significance is critical because it demonstrates the possibility that the
rejection of a null hypothesis could happen when it is true. .10 level is an alpha level that tests
the data’s significance level. A null hypothesis is an account that reflects no difference and
contradicts the hypothesis of the research, and is expressed in terms of population criterion
always (Frankforth-Nachmias & Leon-Guerrero, 2020).
