Survey Instrument Assignment Instructions

For this assignment, you will need to set up or publish the final version of your quantitative survey instrument so that you can collect data (participant responses). While quantitative studies typically involve a much larger sample size than qualitative studies, the goal for this assignment is just to collect as many responses as you can. Try to limit your data collection to a 48-hour window, so that you will have ample time to analyze the data. You can have your participants fill out paper copies of the survey or you can use a free online site (<link is hidden> <link is hidden> <link is hidden> Google Forms; etc.). Remember, for the analysis of your research results you will need to select from either a t-test, regression, or correlation; your instrument should be set up so that you can run one of these 3 tests and obtain meaningful results.

Upon reviewing your instructor’s feedback on the Discussion Board assignment from Module/Week 5 (quantitative research question, hypotheses, and instrument), please compile and complete the following in a Word document:

1. Provide a finalized version of your survey instrument (if self-designed, incorporating your instructor’s previous feedback. The finalized version of the instrument should include the questions and response options.
2. Provide a brief statement regarding what method you used to set up your survey (online, paper, etc.) and how many responses you anticipate. If your survey is published online, please provide the URL/link.
3. Provide an explanation of the scoring or a scoring key.
4. Statistical analysis:
a. Provide a brief statement of which statistical test you are performing and why.
b. Provide a finalized copy of your hypotheses set(s) incorporating your instructor’s previous feedback
c. Identify the variables
d. Perform either a t-test, regression, or correlation
e. Provide p values and determine significance
f. Provide a paragraph indicating whether you should accept or reject the null hypothesis, and what the results mean.
5. Provide your input spreadsheet (copy into Excel) and screenshots of your output tables.

Submit this assignment through the SafeAssign link by 11:59 <link is hidden> (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 7.

Note: If you choose to complete the Quantitative Research Prospectus, please keep in mind that you will need to include both your raw data inputs and analyzed outputs as appendices for your Quantitative Research Prospectus submission.
