Use third-person point of view. Do not accidentally use first-person singular (one, I, me, mine), first-person plurals (we, us, our), or second-person “you.”

A “working” thesis means one that will help you to get started, but it may be edited a few times as you work on the essay. At some point, though, you need to settle on one and stick with it.
