The American Revolution

The American Revolution
The American Revolution was sparked by a number of circumstances that compelled
Americans to seek revolution in their homeland. They were motivated by the search for
education for everyone, as well as the desire to establish a unique place for women in society;
they were also opposed to the institution of slavery. This group held the view that the economy
would prosper more when individuals worked together in harmony rather than as a separate unit.
They had emphasized the need of property equality, as a few have amassed money at the expense
of others, giving them the ability to oppress others. The American people had a number of
complaints against King George III, which served as the impetus for the uprising. In addition,
they accused him of severing the United States’ commercial relations with other regions of the
globe, imposing a tax without regard for the notion of “American,” and failing to defend citizens
from killers. If I had been present during the revolution, I would have sided with revolutionaries
in their quest for justice for the slaves.
