The evolution of human resources

The evolution of human resources has been shaped by the regulations and
compliances outlined by government branches to ensure that organizations facilitate a
safe working environment. Different governmental and non-governmental
organizations and associations have outlined the various procedures and constraints of
human resources. The state and federal governments have influenced the working of
human resources with laws such as the affordable care act. Safety precautions and
protection such as occupational safety and health administration(OSHA) and
regulatory policies such as EEOC (Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission)
are some of the different methodologies used to regulate the human resource
department and effectively the workforce in any organization or business.
The regulatory policy dictates the dynamics of the human resource process in
ensuring that organizations or companies act fairly and justly throughout the cycle of
employee hiring. One of the significant ways these regulators have helped is by
eliminating discrimination in the hiring process. Human resources should eliminate
bias against individuals based on race, religion, color, or physical appearance. The
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 is one of the most effective policies
that prohibit the discrimination of physically disabled employees. The policy is not
limited to the dynamics of hiring; instead, throughout the working and interaction
cycles (USA, Government, 2020). This way, organizations, and employers are well
aligned and ought to abide by this policy in the workplace. As such, people with
disabilities are well protected and can have a safe and conducive working
environment.
The safety precautions compel the organization to eliminate any hazardous
working environment. Employees must be protected from harm that results from their
