You are having an interpersonal conflict with a coworker concerning work scheduling. The coworker is new to the department and does not know that you have an agreement in place with the previous scheduler regarding your inability to work on weekends. Your new coworker has scheduled you to work one weekend per month. Your coworker was told by the Department Director, who is also new, to rotate all staff members through the weekend schedule.

Address the following questions/topics in your assessment:

  1. Which of the five strategies presented in the module readings would you use to mitigate this conflict and why?
  2. Create a plan for negotiating a schedule change using the steps for an ideal negotiation process covered in the module readings.
  3. How will you achieve a win-win negotiation that preserves working relationships as you move forward?

Your paper should be 2-3 pages in length and conform to CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements. Include at least two scholarly references in addition to the course readings. The CSU-Global Library is a good place to find these resources.
