What initial research have you conducted, and what does that research indicate about the issue?

Question Description

The Planning Outline is one of the first steps toward designing your final proposal. Drawing from the Week 8 Discussion and the reading from Module 9, please answer the following questions regarding the issue/problem/opportunity for which you’ve identified:

• What is the issue/problem/opportunity?
• In what ways do you consider writing as a solution to the issue/problem/opportunity?
• Who are the stakeholders (audience)?
• What initial questions are driving this project?
• What is your objective?
•What initial research have you conducted, and what does that research indicate about the issue?
• What further research is necessary at this point?

Use this outline to contextualize the issue, establish initial questions, identify the major stakeholders (audience), and discuss (potential) next steps.

week 8 discussion:The main social issue I would like to deal with is corruption. Corruption has been a graft issue in the community, yet a combined community effort can eliminate it. There are many cases worldwide where leaders and professional grab funds supposed to complete important tasks and use it for selfish interests. The issue increases the gap between the rich and the poor, leaving some members of the community rotting in poverty. It is directly related to my career objectives as a financial analyst. Financial practitioners should be transparent. Through transparency, every stakeholder, from the customer, to the employee, employer and shareholder are served justly. The issue extends, not only to businesses, but also to other ventures such as the government and non-profitable organizations. The people who grab funds, public and private, have the support of corrupt financial officers. The officers take role in designing the criminal activities and keeping evidence through their financial intelligence. The main stakeholders for the issue include the community, business owners and shareholders, buyers of products and services, as well as the government and private sector workers. Getting information on how the theft is done is an issue of concern, since the grabbers keep their strategies secretive. However, failure to develop the topic sufficiently might make me decide on another issue.

week 9 discussion:The Concept Proposal for Drone-Based Security at Salisbury College is a show and precise proposal with fewer details all through. It gives recommended courses of action without detailed rational on the choice. It has a good structure, defining the problem by stating that there are security concerns in campus, and describing the importance of drone surveillance. They describe the plan of drone implementation clear enough, and make the idea look very applicable. However, the reader would wish to get more information on the budget. Where and how will the cameras be obtained? How expensive are they? What are the various brands and what strengths and weaknesses does each display?

The proposal looks a great idea to implement, but some draw backs should include cost of installation maintenance and running the drone surveillance. Deep descriptions and rationales are provided in the Growth and Flexibility with Telecommuting proposal. It looks more professional from the look, with the descriptions being well researched and cited. The introduction compels the reader to understand the purpose and directs you towards what you expect in the proposal. Both proposals are very educative and provide the readers with essential details as to why their suggestions should be implemented. As a student, they give me the understanding of how I should design a proposal and make it sufficiently persuasive.

Module 9:

This week, you’ll continue to develop some of the planning and initial thinking that will build into your final proposal. For Sunday, please complete the Proposal Project Plan, which asks you to address several questions regarding your project.

We’ll also read Chapter 8 in our textbook, which focuses on proposals. As the textbook discusses there are four principles areas of proposals. As writers, it’s important to consider reader-users’ needs, values, and attitudes when writing each section. And in future modules, you’ll draft a few of these sections, as you work toward the final proposal.

Module 9 Objectives

1. Read about and understand the proposal genre—-develop the framework this this project.

2. Begin to frame your project reflecting on what you’ve gathered thus far and considering where you need to go next.

Module 9 Checklist

1. Read Chapter 8 in TCT and complete Reading Response #9

2. Participate in the Week 9 Discussion

3. Complete the proposal assignment Project Plan

Use easy words and easy sentences because I am international student.
