My Research Topic is involved in the Public financing of sports stadiums and how it does not necessarily benefit the general tax payer; it benefits local businesses associated with the stadium but not the population as a whole. I choose this method due to the information I am gathering, I want numerical analysis of data utilizing questionnaires and surveys. I want to gather the numbers of actually what benefit a new stadium has brought to the local community.  Overall, continuing the dialogue that the public should not finance the building of multi-million/billion dollar stadiums.  I have taken courses in my grad program in sports management and I feel with that experience and constant contact with the sports community that will allow me to continue my work on sports stadiums on the local community.
