You are a leading Biometric company and required to write a sales pitch/tender for contract for the British government to adopt Biometric security on all entry/exit routes within the UK. Your report should adopt a single or range of Biometrics technologies and fully explain the following questions:

a) Why a Biometric solution?

b) What technologies are to be used, where and why?

c) How the chosen Biometric(s) works?

d) Limitations of such Biometrics

e) Implementation of such Biometrics, costs and timescales

f) Legal issues involved

NB: A sales pitch/tender provides a solution with timescales, full costing etc.

As this task is being used for two awards, the additional requirements apply to each group of students.

COCS 50634 Biometrics

In addition to the task above you are required to detail the full technical details of the biometrics technologies discussed e.g. template creation, comparison methods used and show an appreciation of the mathematics behind the technology.

COCS 50677 Biometrics within a Security Environment

In addition to the task above you are required to detail the legal and security issues of the biometrics technologies discussed e.g. possible attack approaches, legal acts covering the biometric method within different countries.

The report is to be written in a professional manner paying due regard to the following aspects:

The report is to be written using a formal style.

The report should have a consistent layout and be divided into enumerated sections, sub sections, sub sections etc.

A contents page is to be included showing section heading and associated page numbers.

A title page is to be included that also shows the word count of the main body of the report (excluding title and contents page).

The report should be fully referenced using the University standard.
