Qustions:

1.  Find an article that discusses whether or not the U.S. is better off or worse off having multiple performing rights organizations (“PRO’s”.)

2.  Find and write a brief summary of an article discussing whether ASCAP and BMI should merge.

3.  Write a brief paragraph or two about why SoundExchange is or is not germane to our class. Is SoundExchange also a performing rights organization? Does it compete with ASCAP, BMI, GMR and SESAC?

4.  Examine the website of a foreign PRO and write an outline of their services and detail their enumerated benefits for members. Do they report annual collections? Cost of collections?
