In this assessment, you will complete three of the exercises from your Calculating and Reporting Healthcare
Statistics text.
Introduction
So far in this course, you have learned how statistics are used in health care management. Now you will practice
what you’ve learned by completing parts of Exercise 2.7 on page 26 of your Calculating and Reporting Healthcare
statistics textbook.
You will perform these exercises using the textbook, Microsoft support articles, and Calculating Averages in Excel as
your guides.
You will need Microsoft Excel for this exercise. If you have not done so, refer to Software Preparation and
Technology Access in the course overview.
Instructions
Follow these steps to complete this assessment.

Home

1. Open the Applying Data Statistics Exercise #1 Template [XLSX] in Excel.
2. Go to Chapter 2 of the ‘Calculating and Reporting Healthcare Statistics’ text, page 26.
3. Perform calculations for Exercises 1, 3, and 5.
The exercises are on separate tabs with instructions in the template.
4. Submit your completed template in the courseroom.
