CISPLATIN CASE REPORT

We have a case study to solve as a group then I have to pick any medication from the case study and write a report about. My group and I solved the case which is about Embryonal carcinoma (part of testicular cancer) and the treatment regimen contains (Cisplatin). So, my report will be about cisplatin so please connect the report with the case as required.

The structure of the report must include methodology as you will collect primary studies.

This the case study so you know what you are doing:

((Mr. DS is a 25-year-old man, who has presented to his GP with a unilateral swelling in the right side of his scrotum.  The GP is sufficiently concerned and refers Mr. DS to the local Urological Cancer MDT. On attendance at hospital MR DS has a blood test, which shows an AFP of 25ng/l. On ultrasound shows the presence of a mass in the right testis and enlarged lymph nodes within the inguinal region.  An MRI is performed which confirms the right testicular mas and the presence of four lymph nodes within the inguinal region. A diagnosis of Stage 2 embryonal carcinoma of the right testis is made. Additional information: Mr. DS lives at home with his Mum and younger sister.  He has a 3-year-old son that he sees each weekend.  He works as a self-employed electrician. He does not have contact with his father. Mr. DS enjoys going to the gym and socializing with his friends. Height: 193cm, and Weight: 90kg))

  1. The place in therapy of this agent of patient care (patient on the case)
