Data Analysis: Results Presentation Assignment Instructions

Overview

This course requires 2 data analysis assignments which will include 2 of the 4 main components of quantitative methods: data analysis in SPSS, results interpretation, and presentation.

Instructions

Using the results from the previous assignment, prepare a research paper to investigate your findings on either the sleep.sav or staffsurvey.sav datafiles. Using the Pallant text, follow the steps for any additional analysis you think necessary to investigate the topic. Are there inherent strengths and weaknesses to the method of analysis selected?

The key of the assignment is to interpret the results and tell a story about the findings. Tables and figures can be referenced and placed in the appendix, they do not count towards the page length. This assignment will require that you find outside scholarly journals to help craft your results interpretation (e.g. have other studies found similar results for a comparable topic, what methods could have been applied to your research, are there strengths and weaknesses in your research, etc.).

  • 12-14 pages of content, double-spaced
  • Must include citations from all assigned textbook readings for the assigned module, and total a minimum of 20 scholarly sources
  • Current APA format

Note: Your assignments will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.
