The legalization of marijuana is a debate that has brought a lot of political, criminal
justice, health arenas, and human services. As much as most people argue about the health
implication and the potentiality in the income that it can bring, little research has been done on
the extent of legalizing the product that has diverse side effects. Legalizing marijuana will lead to
more negative effects compared to the current situation. The number of youth who use the
product will increase, and it will be difficult for the government and the health practitioner to
track the consequences; therefore, it should not be legalized.
