Short Application Response

This assignment requires you to write a couple of paragraphs (minimum of 250 words) on why you thought a business article (from an approved list of publications below) was directly related to what we talked about in class and/or what you read about in your assigned readings going back until April 2. You need to apply the article to the class concepts. You cannot just find an article in general that you stretch to apply it. The article should state the concept we covered in some way. You should mention what you learned from this article that enhanced what you learned the previous week or so.

Three approved publications: Find an article that is at least 400 words long in the Wall Street Journal ., Financial Times ., or the Harvard Business Review. Some of these publications require a subscription to read the entire article so go through the UW Library to access these publications via the online access links that are given with their names above. If you just want to see what is online before accessing a complete article, go to their websites via these links if you can get in to see the articles: wsj.com, ft.com, and hbr.org .

If you use another source other than the ones mentioned above, you will lose points. The article cannot be published earlier than April 1, 2017. If it is, you will lose points.

Your written response needs to be greater than or equal to 250 words.

You need to cite the article in APA style with the URL link to it as part of the References section below your paragraph so I know the article’s title, author and publisher and so I can access it. You need to write clearly and with good grammar. If you are missing words in your sentences, have poor grammar, or I have a hard time understanding what you are saying, you will lose one or more points. If you do not have adequate English writing skills, please seek help from the UW Bothell Writing & Communication Center .. It will affect your school grades and future business career if you ignore a deficiency in this area.
