Persuasive speech

Description

Purpose: The goal of this paper is to reflect on your performance in your persuasive speech and how you have progressed as a speaker this semester.

Task: Watch your persuasive speech and evaluate it using the persuasive speech rubric. Then, write a 1-2—page paper that addresses the following prompts. Explain all of your answers.

Your analysis should thoroughly address the following:

  • After preparing and delivering four speeches, do you feel more confident in your speaking abilities? Why or why not?
  • On the whole, do you identify as a confident speaker? What could you do to improve your confidence?
  • How would you describe your performance in your persuasive speech?
  • What do you consider your greatest strength as a speaker? Greatest area for improvement?
  • What public speaking concept or theory do you feel has most helped you develop your speaking abilities?
  • What will you do moving forward to continue to develop your speaking abilities?

A successful student will:

  • Clearly and thoroughly address all parts of the paper guidelines.
  • Cite sources using APA style where applicable.
  • Meet the minimum page length requirement.
  • Use clear and concise writing that is easy to understand and is free from errors.
